July Goals

Monday, July 09, 2012

Oh, no! It's July 9 and I haven't done my July goal-setting yet. looks like I skipped June, too. Well, time to fix that.

Here's what I'm trying to accomplish this month:

emoticon Keep up with my homework.
I am taking a summer class so I can graduate next May. It's a short, 6-week class that meets twice a week. The homework is easy, but the schedule so aggressive that I must not slack. My goal is to do at least 30 minutes of homework every day, more as needed to keep up.

emoticon emoticon emoticon Do my tri training sessions.
I have been slacking big-time when it comes to my biking and running. It's been hot. As I read on another blog today, that's no excuse. So move over heat! I will get in all of my training sessions from this point forward.

emoticon Stay in range at least 90% of the month.
Since I'm late getting going with my goals, and I haven't exactly been consistent with my logging, I'm going to shoot for 90% of days in-range for the rest of the month. So from today until July 31, 20 days need to be in range.

emoticon Plant the flowers I bought in spring!
I have 3 flats of annuals that need to get in the ground, and one pretty flower that needs a new pot. They are suffering from this heat wave/drought, and our ground is like hardpan. I'll need to be strategic with watering and timing to give them a fighting chance.

Do you have goals for this month? It's not too late to set them!
