Back on track

Though I can't say I am eating particularly healthily, I have kept within my carbs, fat and cals today and my cold is just about gone. I've got a horrible cough still, which kept me awake for part of the night.

I did some cleaning today, esp of the kitchen floor, and although I'm feeling tons better, it certainly proved that I am still off colour. Ten minutes and I was sweating and exhausted. Usually I can do two hours before feeling like that. I feel better for having cleaned up just that bit though, did a pile of washing as well and tidied the kitchen up. Although I don't like housework I also don't like living in a pigsty.

I'm feeling very positive about a lot of things in my life, except for one big black cloud, which I have sort of taken decisions about but putting the decisions into practice will take a lot of time and effort on my part. Nevertheless it's good to have reached a decision.

Wonder if anyone else finds that eating healthily and taking more exercise makes them more clearheaded? Though I think joining Sparkpeople was more a cause than an effect of my current mood.

Anyway, I am hoping for a good night's sleep tonight. Here's a photo of some Valerian to help me.

    When I eat less, and stay away from the pizza etc, I do feel better & more clear headed. Food does matter. I spent most my life with junk food (frozen kind from the stores, heat n eat) and the other day I made my soup with onions, carrots, potatoes and a bit of rice in chicken stock & my husband said, HEY you can cook! Plus I like it!
    I can have a couple bowls and still stay in my ranges on spark people. I love that as well as feeling better. I have a lot of weight to shift. Junk food was so high in calories.

    Whenever I finish going for a walk, doing some zumba, or whatever exercise I feel like for the day, I always wonder why I didn't do it earlier in the day. Like you, my brain feels much less fuzzy and I have so much more energy for what's left of the day. I should really consider doing something in the morning, just to get jump started for the day.
