Second summery thing...

Monday, July 09, 2012

I went swimming for a couple hours on Saturday morning. The pool is small but plenty wet and I got a bit more sun. Yes, I know what they say these days but I can't help but hold onto that brown, little blonde I was during the summers of my childhood. We were always outside!

The pool is rectangular in shape but half is indoors and half out. You can access one from the other by swimming under a clear divider. Or, you can be like me and use the doors. LOL I couldn't breathe when I watched people swim under that thing!

A friend went with me. She is so encouraging. She had us exercising and she had me practice swimming (I'm not very good) with bringing my arms waaayyy out of the water, which really worked my shoulders. So while we were having fun, we were constantly burning calories by doing workouts. We did float some and she practiced her under-water-handstands. It was fun to be a kid for a little while. I think this pool pass purchase might just be a wise choice!

Quick Toby update. I contacted a friend who is even more dog oriented than me and she put me in touch with a holistic vet who is also a K9 chiropractor. I have long felt that Toby was out of whack and that was part of his back/leg pain. We're going tonight for a consult. I have my hopes pinned on this guy and am praying that he can give Toby some relief. Please pray, cross fingers, send happy thoughts, anything that might give us positive results!

As for me, I don't care what "they" say about sun exposure. A little sunscreen and I'm in the sun soaking up as much vitamin D as I can. emoticon
Praying that Toby feels better soon. I am an dog and cat lover. Our last dog, Crystal, a black lab/husky mix lived for 15 years. When she passed it almost killed me. We have a 3 year old male cat, Chachi, who is part Maine Coon (and acts like a puppy). emoticon
