Anyone who knows me will tell you that I am the queen of procrastination. So today I set out to groom my pack (I needed the hair for my garden...and their were some pretty embarassing nails) and clean the guest room (aka: storage for EVERYTHING that is not being used this second).
My dogs are in show shape (minus the bath). The guest room, well, it's not. I can kinda see the bed. I was committed to get these tasks done, with breaks for Spark and...
~run to the craft store
~run to the training grounds
~put together a gift basket
~dec out a shirt for my boy

Yeah...I probably coulda found more to do today, too. But I had good reasons for the things that I did do.
I put together a collection for a co-worker who's son sustained severe head injury and is hospitalized more than an hour away. I collected from other co-workers cash (for gas cards) and car friendly snack items (granola bars, beef sticks, etc). As mom is heading to see son daily, right after work. I re-used a pretty gift basket but needed the filler for the bottom (thus the run to the craft store). I also picked up an additional gas card while I was out and ran into the same lady (the one that mistook me for a pro golfer) from two days ago at the same gas station. LOL
Also at the craft store I picked up some pink glitter fabric paint. Next week, I am involved in a Bark for Life walk. Its done by the American Cancer Society (think Walk for Life & Relay for Live) and it is a fundraising walk with your dogs! So, because my late friend was so commited to her dogs, her sister felt it appropriate (and it IS soooo appropriate) that she start a team in honor of her. So we are walking and I am taking B and dressing him in pink! So everybody confuses him for being a female as it is (he was neutered VERY young...that's how the rescue did it and has NO fruitbasket whatsoever)! So, I ordered him a doggy shirt that says "Real men where pink" and it has a pink ribbon. I just had to add some sparkly pink paint to that there ribbon...hello.

Sorry, the pic doesn't do the sparkles justice, but B is going to be adorable. Now I am just praying for cool enough weather that he can wear the shirt.
Anyway...good reasons to procrastinate and I got some gardening and evercise in there too! Whew! Loving this cooler weather...would actually REALLY love it if it were another 10-15 degrees cooler...but....
Hope ya all had a good weekend!

Oh, and RIP Ernest made me laugh, got me in trouble (for another blog) and were the only clown that didn't creep me out. You will be missed. Oh...and make sure your mike is turned off before you discuss stuff with St. Peter...LOL

( might have to copy and paste that into your browser, but I promise you, it's worth it)

If you are the queen I want to be your princess! I'm a horrible procrastinator - just ask my back lawn that's only been mowed once this year. What a great friend you are to collect gift cards and snacks for your friend. I'm sure she's stressed enough and having one less thing to deal with will really help.
I love the T-shirt for B. So, so true!! Everyone thinks my springer is a girl too. They don't seem to mind since they get their lovin' either way!

I served Ernie & Tova. Be jealous. :P

That said, you're an amazing person. You might put off on some things, but you never put off thinking of others. That's an incredible trait and should be cultivated by others.
