Quiet Anniversary Weekend
Sunday, July 08, 2012
We returned home today from our anniversary getaway. We went out for supper the first night and then saw The Amazing Spiderman, which was a great movie. The next day we slept in a little & went for coffee and then took a nice ride on the motorcycle before a late lunch. We relaxed back at the hotel for a little while and then headed to my friend's wedding reception. They had a very small ceremony in May & I actually didn't even now she was married until I got the invitation in the mail
, but I'm extremely happy for her!
We had only planned to stay for about an hour, but there was another of my classmate there, so we talked with her and her husband and then I spent a lot of time talking to her brothers and other family members. It ended up being about 8 pm when we left the park and then headed out for a late supper. We had debated on going to another movie, but opted to going back to the hotel for some TV and sleep. It was a wonderful weekend away but I was happy to get home to the kids. The strangest part of our weekend was the not having anything that we HAD to do. Most of the time when we go to SF we have all kinds of little errands to run and kids along, this time there was nothing to do but relax.
I have another busy week coming up with swimming lessons, DD has a basketball camp and I have a dentist appointment, along with wanting to get the last coat of paint on the house, so I can get back into the swing of things and back on track again.
Thanks for stopping in and I hope you enjoyed your weekend!!
