Back from Surgery...

Sunday, July 08, 2012

Well i have had my surgery on my arm. He repaired the main nerve and then he also had to move it from the bottom of my arm to the top of my arm because everytime id bend/move my arm the nerve would move and rub against the bone and damage it worse. I go Wednesday and get the stitches out. i was in a plaster cast(for the back side of my arm) and then it was all wrapped up in gauze and bandages for a week and half. Not suppose to lift anything over 5 lbs for a total of 6 weekd. Ive had no help so its just been me and the kids so its been really hard but ive managed to do it somehow. ...So today was my first day of working out again in probably about 3-4 months. I want to start out slow to make sure my arms gunna be able to handle it and it didnt bother it today. But doing pretty good overall.

thank you and sooo true,i did end up asking a friend to come over and help me with supper and give the lil one a bath..that was just like 2 or 3 days after i had surgery, and just that lil bit i was so thankful for. i am learning to accept the help,i just dont like asking for help, the way i see it is,i should be able to do it and shouldnt need to ask for help with my own kids....but i am learning sometimes you just have to

Best wishes on your recovery. I get that you have no help; I've felt the same way. However, I did notice that if friends offered "can I do anything" I often would respond no, until one Saturday when I knew the refrigerator was getting disgusting and told my friend. She came over and cleaned it out. Truly it upped our friendship so much...before she was a kinda friend, after top level. Time to say yes if the window of opportunity opens.

    Take care. emoticon emoticon emoticon
