Happy 4th of July!

Friday, July 06, 2012

I have been busy running all week with the 4th of July events, and having family and friends around. The 4th was wonderful, would have been better if it hadn't been SO HOT, but we had fun. emoticon The family sat out front of our house and watched the parade and then we had lunch here so we could stay in AC, which was a GREAT idea!! The cousins played with water guns and we shot off a few fireworks before my sister, BIL and kids headed home. I had planned on a quick nap, since I had worked the Alley Dance the night before and got only 4 hours of sleep, but our friend called and said they would be coming earlier and I needed to prepare some more food. He brought 8 people along, but it was nice to see his Dad, sister and nephews again and the extra couple and their young son. After eating and shooting off more fireworks it was time to head to the baseball game, which was also enjoyable along with the big fireworks show at the end of the game. emoticon Everyone had fun, which made it a FANTASTIC 4th of July!!
Today we are getting ready to head to SF for our 13th wedding anniversary. Both sets of grandparents are getting a grandchild and the hubby & I are off on the motorcycle for 2 days of alone time and relaxation. emoticon We are not going too far away, but it will be nice to go to a movie and have dinner alone. Our actual anniversary is on the 10th and it's hard to believe it's been almost 13 years already. Time goes fast and easy when you have a wonderful husband and kids to fill the time with.
I hope you all had a wonderful 4th and enjoy your weekend!! emoticon
