I like to move it move it!-BLC #15

After joining the BLC #15, I am motivated to get myself back on the right track. I am really excited to hear from other people that are working towards the same goals and are also about the same age. The fact that everyone is so close in age really makes it easier to be motivated and well it makes me feel almost competitive too… GO DUNE RIDERS! Last time during BLC #14, I had fallen off the tracks and got disqualified when my Master’s courses started because I was so consumed with getting school work done that I forgot to keep up with BL. I am determined to not let that happen this time-I really want to make a change and I know that this isn’t a fast fix or a quick lose but it’s a small start that will really help me make progress.. Progress is the goal!
For a monthly goal for July I would like to be down 10 pounds by July 29th.
As a general 8 week goal of the BLC I would like to be down 20 pounds. (SO an average of 10 pounds per month-2.5 pounds per week). I feel like that goal is realistic and very achievable I just have to stay on track.
My small steps into progression will be:
-Recently I have started riding my bike to work, so if I do that it will be 20 minutes each way as a total of 40 minute rides. (Lately when it is over 90 degrees I don’t want to kill myself so I sometimes don’t ride).
-I want to do zumba or some other hour long class at the gym 2x per week.
-I want to do cardio 3x per week for at least 30 minutes.
-Ultimately I would like to guarantee myself working out for at least 30 minutes a day
One of my problems that I have with spark people and even when I did weight watchers (I stop using ww because I was paying for something I never used) was that I find it really hard to track everything I eat. It is time consuming but I am sure it is totally worth it to see where you stand calorie wise. I would really like to get myself in the habit of tracking (even if it is some amazing cupcake that I tried to convince myself not to eat)…Cupcakes….yummmy……
Anyways to sum it up More moving+ better food=progression.

    Great goals, and you can achieve each and every one!

    It is time consuming to track, but it gets faster the longer you do it.... and really, it's worth it in the long run. emoticon

    Jennie 298 and lower is in your future - I just know it. You have a great plan for fitness. I am slow and steady right now and then building from there. I am with you on the tracking it is difficult and time consuming, but I am starting off slow I just write down what I eat - no calories just amount and what for now then I will build on that.
