Better Choices

Thursday, July 05, 2012

Today I ended my my Challenge with the DG's and I wasn't thrilled about the numbers, but it IS PROGRESS! Sadly, I gained when I started school, but the weight is going back down slowly but surely. This summer I have put most of my focus on eating better, my portions have stayed in control, but I've slipped up on my sugars, and carbs. I don't think I have EVER bought and eaten so many fresh fruits and veggies before in my life! I LOVE IT! One other thing that I have decided recently to do is eat the healthiest meals on the menu no matter what! I'm bad about going out and eating whatever I want as long as it's "somewhat" in reason, but it just ain't working, so I am forcing myself to eat the healthiest things I can find and checking on nutrition first! I was so proud that I tried the Simple and Fit meals at Ihop the other day. I had a Spinach, mushroom, and tomato omelet with a side of fruit ,orange juice, water, and about two bites of the pancakes and I got full! This overeating going out, has to STOP! It's killing me! I started the new Red Hot Heartbreakers Challenge and I have my goals in check. I will be back to my start weight before I started school, and then move past that! These are my goals, and I WILL get there this time!

Progress is always positive no matter how big or small it is! :) I LOVE your resolve about eating the healthiest thing on the menu. I did that last night at the Mexican restaurant we went to. It was still amazing yummy, I was OUT with my family, and I had a great time. And today, I feel about a zillion times better because for the first time probably in my WHOLE life I was in a healthy calorie range for the day and it just feels awesome! Small changes lead to big things.. I'm proud of you! XO
