Week 1

Tuesday, July 03, 2012

In week one I tried so hard to make sure that I was doing everything right eat the right portions and all. However I was not doing this. I was not getting enough protein and some days carbs. I had posted that I was not getting what I needed and I had some people reply back on how to try and bring them up. But I did stay in the Calorie goal this whole week which is so much better then what I had been doing before. I have not had very much junk food. I will admit that one day I just did not feel like cooking so I went to McDonalds and got chicken nuggets. Granted it took me all day to really eat them but it made for higher calories that day. I have been drinking 8 glasses or more of water each day. I am only having one soda a day ( this is cause I do not drink coffee so I drink soda for my caffeine) I have made all my goals for the fast break and I am excited about that because I am not very good at making my goals. I have been at least walking or doing zumba every day for a half hr. I feel a lot better.

I would say that you're really doing quite well! We can't be perfect all the time. I remember when i first started with SP that they'd say to just try changing one thing. That's even alot to compared to what I was doing before. Like getting in 5 freggies a day? I was lucky if I got in 1 fruit! I'm not one for veggies, but I'm shocked at how much I'm really starting to like them! With my RA, with exercise, I started with just 10 min. per day and that even hurt. But now I'm up to 25 min. per day and I feel good with doing it and afterwards too It helps when we drop pounds so much with having RA. It seems to alleviate it somehow. WE learn along the way. Remember it's just baby step too! They add up to big steps. emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon
