Rockin'it workout plan week 1

Tuesday, July 03, 2012

We had some severe Thunderstorms here in Virginia last Friday. Since then we have had no power. It's been hard to get enough water to the horses. We had to fill 500 Gallon tanks at the local river to water our horses and help to water our neighbors sheep farm. We have a small generator to keep our fridge and freezer going and 2 fans. We can also turn on the well pump for a few minutes every so often. That way we can take icy cold showers with the garden hose in the yard. Nobody can tell me when we will get power back. The damage to the power lines is very extensive. So it might be Sunday before we have power but that's not certain either. So needless to say, since we are also faced with a heat wave of 97°- over 100°F daily, my workout plan is not very extensive. I have planned 3 workouts of 60 minutes each starting Thursday. I have riding lessons scheduled with my instructor and hopefully there is a miracle and we have power back till then. So 3 days of 60 minutes Cardio should keep me from letting my team down and I promise I will do more as soon as we have power and I am not so hot and miserable anymore. Sorry for the whiny tone of this blog promise I will also be more cheerful in the future
