Very Proud...

I work nights so it's not uncommon for me to stop at Walmart after work to pick up a few things. It was also SOP (Standard Operating Procedure for those Army folks) to buy some baked goods, a bottle of chocolate milk, and watch my recorded shoes when I got home.

Well...I did have to make a pitstop at Walmart on my home. As soon as I stepped thru the sliding doors, I could smell the aroma of the chocolate donuts. I wanted to give in so bad as I was picking up the iceberg & romaine lettuce. Why did they have to put the produce next to the bakery? donut wouldn't kill me. I've been doing so well.

Well...I decided that if it was something sweet that I craved, I would have a banana & a few Nilla Wafers (reduced fat of coarse!) while watching my recorded shows. And that's exactly what I did. I am watching "Army Wives," eating a banana, Nilla Wafers, and feeling proud of myself. I guess I do have a little self control. As for the chocolate milk...I think I will enjoy a small glass...with nonfat milk.

YAY, I'm proud of you to! Way to make smart choices!! As far as the chocolate milk, I think as long as it's low fat there's nothing wrong with it. I've seen lots of commercials lately with athletes saying that they drink chocolate milk after their workouts! Keep up the good work!

Oh and they put the bakery next to the produce department to simply test your will power! But you showed them whose boss!

That's what it is all about, Lynn. You did great and deserve to be proud of yourself.

It isn't Walmart only doing this. HEB (at least the one on Oconnor) has it set up so you walk through the bakery before you get to the produce. Some days my knees nearly wobble from the smells wafting through the air. Conspiracy, I tell you!
