We are all working toward a goal of eternal life with Jesus. Our accountability to God is the most important thing we can remember and do every day. When we are accountable to God, we are living for Him, we are reading His word and talking with Him every day. We are living by example and reaching out to others sharing His word. Accountability to God should not be taken lightly because we will have to answer to Him when we leave this earth. We need to ask Him today what changes we should make to be more accountable to Him and decide to take action for God.
Psalm 139:23-24 “Search me, O God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. Point out anything in me that offends you, and lead me along the path of everlasting life.” (NLT)
Dear Lord, please help us today to be more accountable to You. We know You are all we need. We know we need to live as You have directed us to live in Your word. We know we need to have a giving heart, a loving attitude and a willingness to help others. We know we need to make better decisions. Please help us to know what we need to change to be more accountable to You. We want to do Your will and we need You to show us and help us. We boldly ask You to help us today to begin living as accountable Christians for You. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
