Busy Weekend!

Thursday, June 28, 2012

This weekend is our Girl Scout Bridging Ceremony! So excited, and glad the Tropical Storm is gone! Yep, another month, another TS. Debby's her name, she came and went, and Florida has more water than we need! Bridges washed out, roads washed out, houses flooded out. The wind wasn't bad this time, it was the rain.
Anyway, back to the weekend. Bridging Ceremony at the park, it has a really nice bridge going over this small creek. Going to make a bridge cake (though I have no idea how it's going to turn out!) All the parents are going to bring a dish and something for the goodie bags. Bought some "Support Our Troops" waterbottles for them to (hopefully) use next year.
Of course, I'm still recovering from being sick all week. Fever from Friday to Sunday, can't breathe. Albuterol inaler used more this past week than in the past year. But, I am definately feeling better, even if I do cough like an elderly smoker in the morning.
This week's workout plan was me laying on the couch then moving to the bed! Next week's workout plan includes walking after dinner (it's light until like 9 pm) and getting up in the mornings to a short cardio workout to wake me up. My oldest daughter (at least) is going to workout with me :)

I hope the G.S. ceremony goes well. It sounds like you have some good plans.

I wish we had some of that water here. We have had little rain for months.

I don't often use my inhaler but when I need it, it's a lifesaver. I just got mine refilled. That virus is going around here too and 2 people my hubby works with have it. I'm glad you are getting better.

It is sad how some parts of the country are so dry, yet others have way too much wet.
I hope your area gets fixed up soon!

Thanks, guys! A Girl Scout Bridging Ceremony is where the girls of one level move on to the next level. Daisy to Brownie, Brownie to Junior, and so forth.
We needed the rain. We were about nine inches below normal until Beryl hit, then we were about five inches below. Now that Debby hit, we are over "flood stage" for several of our smaller rivers and tributaries.

I am so glad you have someone to walk with you once you start back to a more active day. When we are sick it is best to rest so we do not use the energy our bodies need to recover.
I hope your bridge party goes well.
I hope next week you feel much better emoticon

One man's trash is another man's treasure...in this case, the trash is rain. Everything here is dead dead dead. Ground is dry about 5 feet down. Very dangerous with all the fireworks going off. I would love to be able to take that water off your hands.

Enjoy your bridging ceremony...haven't a clue what that is though.
