Change is good for you!

I am an avid runner been one for almost 30 years! I love everything about it! Well doing squats last week in my boot camp class (thinking that I am 20 again) holding to much weight & squatting down way to far I pulled a muscle or a tendon in my groin area. Ouch! I tried running for the next couple of days after that class & oh my very painful. So then not wanting to choose another form of cardio that would give me the same workout that running gives me. I resorted to the stepper machine. Dreading getting on it because I really wanted to run. Did 45 minutes on it & to my surprise it wasn't bad. I had to give my injury a rest. It was really a good thing because I feel much better today & our Boot Camp Instructor said you need to switch up your cardio especially if you do the same all the time. You will see a difference in your body responding to a different work out . You will loose weight easier. I was very excited about that! I didn't want to give up because I have tried so hard to eating healthier & workout consistely for 6 days a week. Maybe this is what my body needed. Everyone have a great weekend. Only one more day to the weeeekkkkeeennnddd! WOO HOO!

Glad your injury is better and happy that you found another form of exercise that you like also. Reminds me of my Mom's saying "Where there is a will, there is a way"! emoticon

Glad you found something else you can do! I love to run as well, but it is important to change things up and do other things as well. I hope that tenderness is gone quickly!

So glad your injury did not keep you side lined too long. I've found that my body responds better when I change it up. Don't like to but I do better when I do. I'm looking forward to starting my running again too. I've taken the past month off but need to get back to it for some fall races.
