Good news from my doctor!

So, I've been working really hard on recording everything in a journal. I write down what time I eat, what I eat, my blood glucose levels, and when I test it. Not to mention I've worked incredibly hard to eat right. I cut out soda, which I used to drink all the time, and all sweets. I've switched completely over to whole wheat products. I'm eating more veggies. And I am drinking more water.
I have honestly put forth a lot of effort in the past 5 weeks, and my doctor even acknowledged it when I saw him on June 22nd! He told me my blood glucose levels have been really good, and he told me to keep up the good work. He was impressed that I lost 14 lbs. I don't think I've ever had a doctor or health care professional tell me to "keep up the good work". That felt really good to hear. That, plus my good results so far, has been good motivation to keep on going even though it's not been so easy!
