So I have not been full force lately on healthy living but I still have been healthy. I am able to eat healthy meals and go to the gym three times a week. And I am proud of myself. I lost a pound in a week. Usually so little would frustrate me but I'm good with that. My new goal is 5 pounds a month. I give myself some slack. Once I'm where I want to be I want to be able to stay at the weight and if I'm not happy with the plan I won't stay with it for the rest of my life.

There is a lady at work who has decided that she is ready to do diet. and yes she uses the word diet over and overs. She said she had nothing but soup for three days. Wow I couldn't do that. And she can't forever. She complains she yo yo's drstically with her weight and I see why. She needs to make life changes and not just read a bunch of diet books telling her what to eat and not to eat. Spark People (and my health coach) has shown me this isn't a diet its life changing and its about being healthy and eating right. I want to be able to live a long joyful life. Being the size I was and out of shape I couldn't do a lot of things like hiking the Gardens of Gods (which I did for two hours last weekend) or walk about the hill of Colorado Springs Zoo (the side of a mountain.) But now I can.

I am so proud of what I have accomplished thus far and look forward to what I can do in the future. I signed up fo r the 5k run and the rookie running program, thank you momma love bug. It's gonna be a lot of work but I don't want to give up my strenght traing. It mean instead of the gym 3 times a week it iwll be 4 or 5. Next week will be tuff but I know I can do it.

I also know I need to eat more protien. I've ate lots of sweets this week and realized I've been tired a lot lately. I realize the calories in the sweets and try to eat low calories the rest of the day and forget my protien intake. I have to learn to balance.

Sorry the post was so long but i've been so busy I wanted to update everything and everyone. I have some pretty awesome friends that are awesome support and I support back the best I can. Thanks.

You are doing great! I truly believe that this lifelong journey we are on is about tweaking and adjusting what we do and how we do it for what works for us! You are on your way, and I agree, radical changes that we can sustain or live with long terms are NOT the way to go!

    Keep up the great work!

I am so glad that you are being kind to yourself with your eating and making small changes instead of big overwhelming ones. I am liking the challenge of the rookie running program and I feel great after I do it, even though it is a little scary to do something I'm so not used to at first. I wish you the best of luckwith it too!!!
