I've volunteered to be on two curling committees next year, the drawmaster for my daytime group, and the bonspiel committee for the business ladies. On Sunday this week I was approached by one of my team mates about assuming her Secretary position on the curling club's Board of Directors (BoD). It doesn't appear that the most recent request will take an inordinate amount of time given that the BoD only meets once a month. As I approach my one year anniversary of being retired, I think I can take on this additional responsibility without becoming overwhelmed.

For the first year of retirement, I wanted to focus on my health, weight loss and getting exercise back into my life. All of these goals have been successfully accomplished! Now that I'm in maintenance mode, and healthy eating and exercise are part of my lifestyle change, I'm ready to tackle more challenges! Bring it on!
