First Day of Summer Vlog from the Park

Wednesday, June 20, 2012

Vlogging from the park.. HOT HOT HOT.. not 80, like my phone said, but 90 degrees. Steaming. Heat wave for the East coast, so I know we're not alone - and it's going to continue for a few days.

Still have a very upset stomach and not sure why. Hungry, but don't feel like eating.. or exercising. Could be the heat, perhaps. Seems like more than that.

I did mow the lawn. DH came out to help me finish because mosquitoes were attacking me and I was so sick, but then I went out to put the lawnmower away and found he didn't mow the piece that was left. Anyhow.. I got most of the front lawn done. Phew! A little cardio is done!

DH did get the air conditioner installed in the living room (with a lot of anger and cursing). Very glad it's in, though, despite the angst. It's just very heavy and hard to get in without dropping it out the window and it's pretty high up there. When my stomach feels better I should be able to dance and do the strength training. Hopefully tonight.

Oh, yes, and I just found out that today WAS the first Day of Summer. The Summer Solstice came early this year due to it being a Leap Year! So WOOHOOO, Summer is HERE!

Here is the National Geographic link about the Summer Solstice:

Here's the link I mentioned in the vlog - and i also wrote a separate blog about it with a couple of my before/after pictures.

Summer - bring it on! Not too hot where I live so you could send some of the heat out to the north west it would be appreciated! emoticon

Summer started tonight just after 7pm... it varies depending on leap year or not I do believe...

it was 34 Celcius ( 93.2 F) today, which felt like 43 (109.4F) with the humidex.....I kept my daughter home and didn't allow the pets outside either. Tomorrow will be much the same! YUCK!!

I am looking at weightmirror now....thanks
