A deeper change

Wednesday, June 20, 2012

I originally thought I would start this blog by saying boo hoo I have so much further to go. Which I do. I read something today that made me think about a deeper change.

Are you going through the motions or are you going for a deeper more meaningful change. I struggle a lot and repeatedly with my weight loss. The getting started is easy and so is the first 5-10lbs. It is also easy to joining gym, buy a journals and talk about health. It is very hard to uses those tools for the long term. Long-term weight loss takes stronger commitment. Here the pep talk I have been giving myself. A deeper level of change is how you behave when people are not looking. It is in your daily habit especially when you don’t want to. It is your mindset that you are always on the right path even when you are at a standstill or take two steps forward and one back. A deeper change means the sidelines will not do anymore.

Indeed. That is why they call it a 'lifestyle'. We need to change our mind, then our body follows.

I really like what you have to say. You've given me something to think about, about digging down inside myself to find a stronger level of commitment, to sustain me for the long haul.

emoticon for posting this blog. And good luck to you!
