Update April 2013
We made a change to the site so that all members get our new Fitness tracker. We have made a lot of improvements to the new tracker, so it should only add to your experience. However, if you have any problems or issues, please email firstname.lastname@example.org.

We are happy to announce we made some upgrades to our Fitness Tracker, adding more tracking options plus making everything more streamlined.
A quick summary of the changes are:
- There is now just one “unified search” box where you can search for cardio, strength, and other activities all in one place. (Previously, you searched for and tracked all of these activities separately.)
- You now can see and track calories burned for all activities, including strength training. This has been a long-standing request from our members.
- You can copy exercises to another day and also create exercise groupings, much like you would "food groupings" in the Nutrition Tracker. This makes it easier to track a group of exercises you tend to do multiple times a week, for example.

I complete agree with most other people. I don't like the new tracker...I miss being able to browse, and I also find it more difficult to track my strength training. I don't know what strength exercises to do, and as a result, I haven't been doing it. I miss the old one! PLEASE bring it back 1813 days ago
I'm so disappointed we no longer have the option to choose which fitness tracker we want to use. The classic version was my choice and now forced to use the other version. I don't find the new version user friendly and haven't figured out how to get some of the generated workouts I had before. Is there a technical reason for the change? Was the classic version causing a problem to the operation of the site? If not, can you change it back or again give us the option to use the classic version? 1874 days ago
I don't like this new tracker at all! It's changed my cardio minutes per week and even though I went in to the screen to change my info, it didn't keep the changes that I made. Switch It Back!!!!! 1875 days ago
My fitness tracker was set up so I could just check off the exercises I had completed. That has all disappeared and now I can't even figure out how to set up a new program!!! Help--hate this new tracker. I'm so frustrated I don't even feel like I should bother to exercise since I can no longer track what I have done. PLEASE go back to the old tracker method. It would have been wise to NOT erase all the work we've done to set up our exercise routines without any warning they would be deleted. We would ALL have ben much happier had we had the chance to save it first or NOT switch over if we didn't want to.

I had my strength training exercises all set up and could choose what I felt like doing that morning. What happened to it all. They have all disappeared. I worked hard to plan all those exercises for my workouts and they are all deleted. It's as if my computer has crashed. Not fair. So far I've lost 28 lbs since Christmas. Please don't upset this positive change in my life. This was supposed to be an improvement to the system not a complete makeover. 1875 days ago
I am not liking it at all. I like being able to have a set of exercises to do on my ST day and go in and check them off. I don't like the new system, it doesn't seem to be user friendly . . . therefore I am not motivated to track my exercise, and less motivated to do it. I like to see the list of what I have to do and check off what I have done. Am I just not getting how to use it????? 1875 days ago
I normally get up at 4 a.m. to plan my day which includes my eating plan for the day. Then I do my strength training exercises and aerobics on alternate days. I have exactly 45 minutes to do all this before I get ready for work. Guess what! So far I've missed 2 days of strength training because I can't figure out your "totally unnecessary changes to the site" which were perfectly working for me. I had a great strength training plan. Now I am so frustrated. From what I see by the responses to your changes many feel the same way. There may be a few people that like it and that's probably because they are very comfortable with computers and can adjust quickly. It takes me a long time to figure things out and why are you fixing something that ain't broke? I have to try to figure this out before Thursday and I don't think I'll be able to without help from my daughter who is not here for several weeks. I can work with this tracker but would like it to be more user friendly although I guess I'm not using all its capabilities as the other users!
The things I liked about the old tracker was the ability to check off the exercises once done but with this new tracker I guess I could just remove the exercises I didn't do.
I liked the ability to see and use the comments for things I found pertinent to record for that day.
I liked being able to access the exercises straight from the page instead of having to search. I have just recently started using the videos and wish I could just click on the link, like demo for the exercises, and start the video instead of having to search for it.
I liked being able to have exercises recommended from the SP Staff/computer system and just choose which exercises to put on tracker; i.e. twist workout or mat workout.
I like the new tracker because I am able to copy exercises/group exercises to the other days like I can copy foods in the nutrition tracker. 1875 days ago
Yikes! Talk about a step backwards in usability. I love that now strength exercises will count toward calorie burn, but... the rest of the changes are dreadful. Where is the fast tracker if you want to just log minutes? Where is the categorized list of the strength exercises? Where is the list of exercises I might do so I can just check off all the ones I did on a particular day? How can I edit an exercise (it does not take me 5 min to do 2 sets of 12 reps for any exercise)? 1876 days ago
Don't like it!!!!!! What happened to the cardio tracker? When I add my miles to the mile tracker, it does not give me the same amount of cardio calories burned as what the treadmill said - not even close.
There is not any strength training things either. I'm not liking this so far. 1876 days ago
The fitness page tends to freeze up after you enter your fitness activity. That's even after closing the search feature. I have to log out and then back in to be able to go to the other portals. 1876 days ago
It is like the food tracker, but I am going to eat no matter what. I am not going to exercise if I have to decide all by myself what I feel like doing and when I feel like doing it. It is completely demotivating for me.
You helped so many people over the years using the old simpler style, why make things more difficult for people who don't know even know where to start or what exercises to look for. 1876 days ago
When I first saw the changed fitness tracker, I thought, "Oh no!" and immediately looked for the button to click to change it back to the old one. Not seeing one, I was disappointed. I do not do well with change, so thought I would not like the changes at all.
However, after logging my fitness for today, I see it is very much like the nutrition tracker, so that is already very familiar to me.
I see some have mentioned that it is very time consuming. Once we have our favourites and our groupings set up, though, it shouldn't take any more or less time than the old tracker. I wonder if many of the people here who are complaining have not actually tried to search anything or put anything into favourites.
Think Nutrition tracker, people! It is just like that - once it is all set up, it's a snap.
I am officially declaring that the new tracker, for me, is just fine. I would be okay with the old one, but this one works as well. Plus, I like that we are burning calories for our strength training!
Seeing the machines def helped me out. I'm trying to log in Lateral Pull Downs done a cable machine and I'm not finding them. Any help anyone? I do like that strength training is registering. It's important. We just need to work out some kinks. 1876 days ago
I don't mind combining the categories and its very nice that weight training now counts for calories, but please give us back a button like the "print cardio tracked" button that allows us to see our weekly summary. It was a motivating report for me! 1876 days ago
I miss my old list of strength exercises I can do, with the easy check off as I did them. I am arthritic and spent quite a long time going thru your exercises, trying them out and making up the list of usable ones. Now that is all gone, I must redo the searching every day and I don't see the easy way to copy groups of exercises to days that you promised. I find your generated exercise routines frustrating because they do not take my actual abilities/disabilities into account. Please change back, or at least give us the old tracker option. Adding my voice. I don't like it much. Can't figure out how to use properly. Right now it seems to track only my FITBIT minutes. Other activities do not add up. I liked the check system for exercise completed. Totals are incorrect. Please give us a break. HATE IT! 1876 days ago
When are you going to give us the option of using the old tracker? I liked it better. It added the minutes I exercises to the weekly totals and this way it doesn't. Unless there is a way to do that. I liked to check off the exercises I did also. I would have them already entered and could check off the ones I did because some days I didn't do them all. 1877 days ago
I like having my strength training on certain days (the rest always changes but the strength training doesn't) and being able to just check on the ones that I do is so handy. You took me totally by surprise changing it. I guess I can just do my spark America minutes but I prefer doing the whole thing. 1877 days ago
I do not like the new tracker. It does not give me all my points for my exercise minutes. You have to enter something three times before you get your points. I loved the old fitness tracker. Please bring it back. 1877 days ago
I liked the old tracker, but only because I was used to it. I'm finding that this new tracker gives me more flexibility for recording. It'll be even better once I'm more used to it. 1877 days ago

Please bring back the old tracker. Like others I far prefer the old method of keeping track. It was nice and simple. Set up your routine and click as you use it. It was the main reason I use the Spark system. 1877 days ago
Please bring back the old method of tracking strength training. I don't even know where to find it anymore...or if it's even available. I loved the old method where we checked off what we did, and where we could look through a list of pre-determined strength workouts. Losing that feature makes this "update" more of a "downgrade". :( 1878 days ago
I am unhappy with the FORCED implementation of the Fitness Tracker. I can find most of my strength exercises. What I find odd is the automatic time assignment of five minutes to each exercise. My circuit takes about an hour. Why do you leave space for calories? I have no clue how many calories I am burning? Lastly, there's no "pay-off" in the Fitness Minutes executed for the week.
