Fire and smoke

Monday, June 18, 2012

There are several fires in the Colorado mountains that are really serious in so many ways. The air quality up in the mountains and down here on the plains with all the smoke is pretty rotten to horrible, although the ash and particulates make for lovely red sunsets, if the sun can get through the smoke. Bothers allergies & asthma and is just nasty. The weather vreports said 50% chance of thundershowers on Saturday and I guess some folks got something, but not on the fire area and not at my house. Today it is to get up about 100 degrees F and the humidity is 5%. Any moisture in the ground is evaporating away pretty fast. YUCK!!!

IF ANYBODY KNOWS OF ANY GOOD RAIN CHANTS, PLEASE SHARE.

I hope that the fires have stayed far and away from you! Keeping the thoughts of rain in your general direction!

Oh, I do hope that you get rain - not thunderstorms - soon. Thunderstorms can trigger new fires. You need some of our BC rain. We have been getting too much - some areas are under flood threat right now. Wish I could send you some of our rain.

Meanwhile if i come across a rain chant.......
