So I finally charted my first day of food in the food tracker! Actually stayed within calorie range ....by a smidge. emoticon Boy was I tempted not to record everything....was I scared it would go over? absolutely! Then I remembered the first spark message was to just track for 2 weeks....not to worry if it is in range...just to become aware....Most importantly I remembered that if i don't track it all...I'm only lying to myself. The calories are still there and two weeks from now when I'm wondering why my weight hasn't gone down do you think I will remember..oh ya I ate those chips and lied about it!...NO I won't....so just get it over with so I can remember why it is what it is and make it better for myself! I need to do this for me... emoticon I deserve better than to be lied to especially by myself!

    Change is HARD - emoticon on being honest with yourself.. it is the LITTLE steps that will turn into BIG steps further down the journey! Take it slow and learn the process. You will get there! Jean

    It's hard at first having to be so honest about our eating habits but having it written down will really help you realize what needs to be changed. Learning to adjust to true serving sizes will be an eye opener for sure but slowly adjusting over time won't be as bad as you think. You did a great job resisting the urge to fudge a bit on your tracker...keep it up! Cause emoticon

    Hi
    Just take one day at a time and I am sure you will get there, don't worry too much about going over as you will eventually get to know how much you need.
    What exercise do you do? exercise works two ways for me as I have a lot of stress so exercise helps work off my anger and helps me keep fit.
    Remember you are the one you are losing weight for and I am sure you will do it.
