Chinups Gone Wild

For the last couple of weeks, I've been on a chinups tear! I got these very nifty resistance bands a few months ago from PerformBetter.com (the 1/2" and 1" versions). preview.tinyurl.com/7d55
And I have to say, they've done a fantastic job in helping me with my chinups/pullups goal for 2012. I've been working on them at the end of my strength workouts. Sometimes, I do a few reps before I run, too.
I want to be able to perform 5 consecutive chins this year, as well as 2 consecutive pullups. I'm currently stuck on 2 consecutive chinups. While it's frustrating, I also realize they're damn hard.
So I know I just have to steer the course, and keep on truckin'.
