I will look at the website. And I'm glad to hear everyone's feedback. The black bean burgers are really good. You know it's not meat, but you don't mind. If that makes since.
My doc's nurse seemed a little shady :( I finally spoke with her, and she told me to come pick up a sample of glumetza...I asked if it was metformin, and she said she wasn't sure. I then asked her if she could tell me what my dosage was the last time, she said, ya but it's not the same medication.....
I get the stuff, and right under the brand name was METFORMIN extended release... I was angry the whole day. They couldn't either
a) talk to me about my concerns and tell me why this was going to be different
b) ask me to make an appt to talk about my concerns.
NOPE the nurse pretended not to know anything about the meds, told me she didn't think it was metformin (when it clearly states that it is).
I would have listened if the doc or her if they would have explained something like:
"Extended release and the lower dosage may make a big difference. let's give it a shot"
No one offered any comfort or advice or explaination on why I was put on a medication I said I was uncomfortable with.
I don't think my doc is stupid or incompetent. I am assumming the reason she prescribed it was because; I was taking 1000mg twice a day of the regular stuff, and this is 500mg of ER.
The problem is I am ASSUMING.
Other then that I'm doing great. I will probably look for a new doctor, though.
