As many of you know, I am presently the Vice President of the Franco-American Day Committee of the Lowell, MA area. I decided to post the schedule for our fun filled week, which begins this coming Sunday, for anyone in the area who may have in interest in the French language & culture of French Canadians.

10:00 a.m. - FRENCH MASS honoring the Franco-Americans Community and all Franco-American Veterans, at St. Rita's Church, 158 Mammoth Rd, Lowell, MA.
FREE Continental Breakfast in the parish hall downstairs, following the Mass, with the naming of the FRANCO-AMERICAN of the YEAR 2012.

6:30 p.m. _ FAMILY BINGO NIGHT in FRENCH at St Marguerite d'Youville Parish hall (what used to be known as Ste. Therese Church) 1340 Lakeview Ave, Dracut, MA - 1 card $2.00 and 3 cards $5.00. Refreshments will be available.

7:00 p.m. - VESPERS (EVENING PRAYERS) IN HONOR OF ST. JEAN BAPTISTE at Franco-American School Grotto, 357 Pawtucket St, Lowell, MA. Please bring your lawn chairs. In case of inclement weather, vespers will be held in the school chapel.
After the prayer service, a wine and cheese social will be held in the school cafeteria. FREE

6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. - MUSIC OF QUEBEC, FRANCE & LOUISANA by VA-ET-VIENT from VERMONT at the Lowell Senior Center, 276 Broadway St. Lowell, MA. FREE - There will be a raffle drawing that evening. Refreshments will also be available.

9:15 a.m. - MEMORIAL CEREMONY at the LITTLE CANADA MONUMENT corner of Aiken and Hall Streets
10:00 a.m. - FLAG RAISING CEREMONY at LOWELL CITY HALL Merrimack St. An open air reception, with coffee & donuts, will follow. In case of inclement weather, the reception will be held in the mayor's reception hall.
2:00 p.m. OLD FASHIONED GAME PARTY at St. Rita's Parish Hall, 158 Mammoth Rd, Lowell, MA. Bring your own deck of cards or games and friends. Door Prize will be given as well as a prize for the winner at each table.
ALL SUNDAY EVENTS ARE FREE TO THE PUBLIC.
