One by one, my commitments are going bye bye

Yay!! I was way overcommitted a month ago, but now a lot of my volunteer commitments are ending for the summer. I need the break! I have been so busy that this morning I made two wrong turns going to work. My mind was elsewhere. I actually laughed at myself when I realized I was off track...funny.

Tonight is appreciation night for Bookmates. That's a program where regular people like me read to school kids. I've had this darling boy DeSean all school year and read with him every Friday morning before heading into work. What a great way to start my day...and hopefully his too. He was so shy at first but toward the end of the year he really opened up.

I'm 4 days away from our family vacation...can't wait to relax and spend time with my little family and my sister and her family. The house we're renting in the Finger Lakes is beautiful and on a gazillion acres of land. I'm going to remain active with hiking, canoeing and such while on vacation...hopefully food won't be too tempting.

Hope you're enjoying your Tuesday!

You have not given up on yourself. You now know you are the only one that can make it happen for you.

You have the power to succeed or fail.

    You have chosen to succeed.

Few baby steps complete a long journey

    Writing is progress!!!
