Rocky mountain high.....Colorado!

I thought I would never get away from the dreary, rainy, cold Pacific Northwest. Last weekend I sat on the soggy sidelines of my son's soccer field counting the hours until I could see the sun, feel the sky and enjoy the moment! It was a bumpy plane ride coming in to Denver but I am back in the mountains of Colorado! How can I explain it.... It is like going from a room with oppresively low popcorn ceilings from the 1970's to a room with a vaulted cathedral ceiling. Breathing space. Everybody is outside, biking, walking, fishing, floating, etc.. I sat by the river this afternoon and watched the trout jump. i look around and see fit, athletic people and this is what they do, who they are...it is a lifestyle...no jumping In the car to drive to the gym to wait for a machine to.....you get the picture. I am so excited to be back where my heart is, the place where I feel anchored and safe and in awe. The drive up to the mountains was awesome. The lighting as the sun sets. The vast open spaces. I could not help but giggle with delight when I saw a hand painted " Caution. Active bear area" sign by Safeway. Hurrah for every antelope, deer, elk, moose, big horn sheep and bear!! Tomorrow I have a massage scheduled and then maybe I will head up to the hot springs for a soak. After that? Who knows...For now, I am God's cheerleader!
