In approximately one month I will be attending a workshop and try-outs for Naptown Roller Girls. Eeee!!! I am so, so, so excited, and I cannot wait!!! But, I have so much work to do to get ready. I need to shape up, get my lungs conditioned, and lose lots of pounds. Ugh, and that's not very fun...
Anyways, I've been going through a zillion changes in the last year. I moved from Southern Illinois back to Chicago-land (where I grew up) around November of 2011. I pretty much moved in um like a week's notice. Just happened that my husband got a job, and then I immediately found one plus a sweet house to live in. Anyways, we moved back north and were by all our friends and family again. That was really nice, being so close to all those people again. However, eating healthy almost immediately disappeared as did working out.
I left Southern Illinois Roller Girls when I left, and it took about a month to get into contact and start going to Chicago Outfit practices after I moved. I started skating a little with the Outfit as a transfer skater, and not gonna lie, it felt a little weird. They also had a group of fresh meats starting so I didn't really know where I fit in with everyone. Anyways, I skated for awhile with them and finally was eligible for bouting around February 2012.
Yep. That's when the company I was temping at for decided to close their office where I was working and move people to Indianapolis. So, I took a full time job with them and moved (again) to Indianapolis. Needless to say my husband was not the happiest with me!
But, we absolutely LOVE Indianapolis!! So, I have been off skates since I left Chicago. Eh what is that like 4 months. Eeeeek!! I have so much work to do to get back into shape! Yeah, not skating and eating lots of ice cream made some pounds creep back on.
Anyways, lost 2.8 lbs this week! Not as much as I would have liked, but I will totally take it. I need to really step it up this week with exercise. I didn't exercise a few times the past week, and I really feel like that hurt my progress (physically and mentally). Watched two bouts today online - got to see So Ill play the Outfit shakedown and kick some butt!! - so I'm pretty pumped up for this week.
