Pain Free Progress Report!

Gosh, it's been a while since I've blogged - life has been HECTIC! However, I'm happy to report that I've reigned in my eating since my last post, and have been sticking with my workouts. We left home for our neice's high school graduation on Thursday, and have done a LOT of walking ever since. So, I'm happy to report the following:
Thursday - walked quite quickly in the airport, since we were running behind schedule, and more walking on our destination end.
Friday - sightseeing and a nice outdoor hike, with only one uphill section
Saturday - city sightseeing. We were on our feet (on pavement) and in motion for at least 4 hours, and walked on lots of hilly streets.
I felt NO back pain at all through any of this.
Sunday - about an hour and 15 minutes of walking, more than half of which was on the beach. I only felt some tiny twinges my back the last part of this walk, and they subsided really quickly.
So, I've been upright and in motion for over an hour each day for the last four days - it feels great!

I now have so much appreciation for people with issues greater than mine. I'm SO thankful that I was able to enjoy this weekend walking at what felt like a normal pace.

Tomorrow we'll fly home, and then it will be back to the old routine.
