Almost at first goal.........:)

Friday, June 08, 2012

Well, I can honestly say that I am 2 pounds shy of my first goal!

I am so excited about this! This is probably the longest streak for me.........you know how you get in a slump and fall off the wagon?..........Well, I can honestly say that I have not deviated from my agenda at all. I have a routine now........I get up early and do the treadmill for 25 to 30 minutes every morning (except Sunday). When I started, I had all I could do to walk 2 mph......and NO INCLINE! Now, I am at 3.1 mph and a 6% incline!

Then I have a piece of fruit after the workout........jump in the shower and head off to work.

Sometimes, hubby and I will go for a walk after dinner..........

I really have to say that I have read "The Spark" and it is good.........I have made some recipes from the recipe book, as well.......so, I would highly recommend them.

And most importantly, SURROUND YOURSELF with POSITIVE energy. Don't allow yourself to be brought down........put yourself and your needs first........I am the type of person who worries about everyone else....trust me.....but it has been a relief for me to focus on ME. I was not in a good place back in February.......my stress levels were so high, my cholesterol was high, my blood pressure was high.............I am in a far better place right now.

And even though I have had a 34 pound weight loss (I've only tracked 26 on SP because I started tracking a few weeks late), I still have my next goal of 30 pounds to reach......and you know what? I will reach that goal. This is not a "diet"...........it is a lifestyle change! And it works!

So, keep sparking everybody!
