Chalean extreme and C25k week 2 and no change on the scale...

Friday, June 08, 2012

Ok, so on a weight related topic, I am sooooo frustrating... I gained... yes I gained 0.6lbs... I really hit a plateau till 2 months and no matter what I can't go bellow 206lbs (now I am at 208). The month of May doesn't really count because I had a surgery and I had to take the month off. The only good thing there is that I didn't really gain during that month.
Now June arrived, I had the "ok" from the doctor to start fitness program...
I started C25K and Chalean Extreme. Everything goes well with that, I love both of them. I work hard, but I feel great! If only the scale could move!!!
I feel my clothes bigger, so I keep saying to myself the traditional: "one pound of muscles is sexier that one pound of fat"! And if I want to laugh about it, I can say to myself that if after I'm done with the 12 weeks of both programs and I'm still at 208 pounds, there will be a lot of muscles there!!!! LOL emoticon

So no matter what, I have to stick on the plan for another 10 weeks, I have the motivation to keep working even if I don't see a weight loss.

I have to say that I fallow Weight Watchers too and I'm OP. So it has to be muscles gain and nothing else!

Have a great week-end sparkfriends, and again sorry for my poor English but I try my best!

You have to do extra aerobics with this workout... it's sad but true...

Hi Caroline! I wouldn't worry about the scale right now. Another fellow sparker told me to literally put my scale away while doing ChaLEAN Extreme because it will be your worst enemy. I didn't listen and of course I saw some negative effects on the scale. The first two weeks in the program I gained .2 lbs (i know not alot, but when you are used to seeing 2 lbs lost every week it's scary). This week I actually had a 1 lb loss, but I was also calorie cycling. Basically I was eating pretty consistent at a low calorie range most of the week and then allowed myself a couple times a week to go over my calorie range. This was helpful because on the burn circuit days I was alot hungrier then normal. I honestly think this may be the reason why I lost weight this week. My body must be confused into losing the weight. haha. At least that's what I am telling myself. The good news for you is that you are feeling that your clothes are feeling bigger. I really think that's what matters most right now.

Good luck in the next few weeks! emoticon
