Experiment - Entry 1

Back in April, my son did something stupid that landed him a 5 day school suspension. While I stayed home with him I made sure we both stopped what we were doing to watch Dr. Oz every day. I feel that I always walk away from his show having learned something new and healthy.

People who watch Dr. Oz regularly know that he’s not a fan of weight loss supplements, nor does he advertise quick and easy short cuts to diet and exercise, because they don’t exist. However, there were two days that he spoke of two extracts with scientific studies that had impressed him enough to conduct his own study. They were simple and found naturally in foods we already eat or drink.

I thought long and hard about the benefits of adding one of both of them to my daily routine and decided I had nothing to lose, except knowledge. So, over the course of the next few weeks, I will blog about my experience with adding these supplements to my daily routine.

Please know that I am not advertising anything and I am not on any special weight loss program other than Spark People. I don’t want anyone to get bent out of shape that I’m touting some crazy alternative lifestyle or weight loss plan, because that’s not the case. I love Spark People.
