Building Confidence

Wednesday, June 06, 2012

I did an extra long shopping session to test out my knee yesterday. I found myself instinctively rubbing my knee on the drive home, but I think that was more habit than need. My knee feels a bit tight and I think I'm mistaking that tightness for soreness, even though it really doesn't hurt all that much. After my outing yesterday I'm feeling a bit more confident in my choice to start exercising again.

While I was out shopping, I hit up the produce aisle big time. My husband asked if I was getting all of our groceries, and I told him no, just picking up a couple of things. Well, my cart was mostly full of fresh produce by the time I was done, lol. Oops. At least it was healthy!

I'm off to make some salsa now. Gonna mix it in with some mashed pinto beans to make a yummy veggie dip! I decided I'll take some pictures and add them to my food blog (which isn't all healthy).

I do that in the produce aisle too! I can't wait for the garden to start producing fresh greens for salads and stir-fry! I can't stand store-bought tomatoes, so am extra anxious for those sun-ripened treats this summer!

I'm glad the knee seems to be getting better. Just take things slow and don't forget to stretch!
