Gremlin?

Tuesday, June 05, 2012

Multiples and gremlins must frequent my house too, late at night.

A ring disappeared (of course, I neeeeeeeeeeeever misplace anything because things run away and hide in piles before I can lose them LOL) for months. I wouldn't have minded if it hadn't been given to me by my mother right before she died.

I looked in every room, in every pile I could think of. Why did it keep hiding from me? After three months I cried UNCLE.

On one of my inspired days, I decided to tackle my refrigerator. Can we say overstuffed and a few science experiments?!!! SIGH

One of those was in my veggie drawer. It was past gross... Something slimy and rotten smelling wanted to ooze out of its plastic bag. I shivered as I removed it. I still shiver even thinking of it. How could I have let my fridge get this bad? Sigh.

Back to the veggie drawer as I move to the the next layer, mostly plastic containers, The last container was filled with homemade penicillin - pretty greens, blues, with a dusting of black. Out it goes.

The last thing to go was the drawer liner, the saving grace, providing a buffer zone between the veggies and the bottom of the drawer. Whew! Almost done!

Under the liner was my mom's ring, still the shiny lion surrounded by the sun's rays I remembered.

My ring must have thought I had abandoned it. My apologies to Mom, her ring, and even to me.

Gremlins be gone! Lynn's back!

I just came through a bout of the worst depression I think I have ever experienced. I lost the register to our savings account and yesterday it turned up in the console of my husband's truck.
