non fitness related ramblings...

For those of you who may not know this. I am a born and raised Cali girl, swept off her feet by a Texan and whisked away to San Antonio. Ive been a Texas resident for the past 4+ years of my life. I was a newly engaged women in Texas, a newlywed in Texas, and experience my first pregnancy and birth of my daughter here in Texas. My heart is still Californian through and through. Ive only had the opportunity to visit my home state and town 3x since our big move. Once for our wedding, once for my sisters wedding, and once just a week ago just because! This visit was by far the best and most interesting.
It was just My lil Calissa and I on an adventure. We boarded the plane with not a single issue. My 2 year old exceeded my best expectations on both airplane rides. We saw all my friends and loved ones we have been missing. I through a couple pantie parties- very successful btw. We also met and dealt with some family obligations and I was reminded how toxic and dysfunctional my family can be. I also had an epiphany over why I have issues with how my inlaws make me feel, I didn't move 1800 miles away to be put into equally toxic relationships as the ones I left behind. I got THREE tattoos. well two touch ups on 7 yr old tats and a new one. I got a BATMAN symbol :] we went from LA to Tahoe to San Francisco and almost every city in between. Calissa and I had a wonderful 12 day mommy and daughter trip, my Cali girl got to see California and it has given me happiness!
Although I did catch a nasty cold from the return trip, I am beginning to feel better. Tomorrow is my day back, I know what to do I just need to spend time refocusing and setting more specific goals. I am the type who needs a plan in place and guidelines to follow.
Thanks for sticking with me yall!!! I am back from vacation and back on spark!

You've been missed but I am so happy to hear you got to go home. We tend to forget the bad and only miss and focus on the good when we are far away from our home towns...but when you measure it all out and look at it through the eyes of love you just know...there is no place like home, but home is where you make it!

Welcome Back, Glad to hear you know why you left.
Sounds like a wonderful 12 day vacation. I hope you kept on top those healthy habits while you were vacationing. Was everyone impressed with the new you? Or did they not even know you had shrunk?

Enjoy your day of laundry and unpacking.

Going back to the place you love feels wonderful! I finally got to go back to Wisconsin last summer for the first time since we moved to TX in late 2005. Now I want to go every year, haha! You look fantastic in that photo.
