Bread and Jam for Francis

DH and I have made our own Jam for several years - ever since we decided we didn't like HFCS. So tonight I did my beginning of the summer inventory. In the past year we have eaten or given away 31 jars of jam, representing 316 oz.

I tried to paste the spreadsheet to the blog - but it didn't keep the table, and I couldn't figure out how to save as a picture to post it. The most frequently gifted flavor was marmalade, and we are almost out of cherry.

I hope the fruit is good this year

P.S. I realized after posting that the count of jars eaten is low because it didn't count the ones that didn't can properly and went straight into the fridge to be eaten immediately. Yes, we give away a lot as presents (teacher gifts, winter holidays, housewarming, potlucks) but that's still a lot of jam eaten by the 3 of us in my immediate family that like fruit flavors.

    I used to make jam/jelly - I enjoyed it, but haven't had time recently (or perhaps haven't made time) I want to make plum jelly this year because it is impossible to find anymore (at least for me) and I like it!

    Wonderful. There's nothing better than a homemade jam/jelly, even if it is on gluten free toast.
