Ok so I figured by the way me clothes are fitting that the scale at TOPS was not correct. And last week I found out just how "off" it was. At WW I was up almost 11 lbs. I am back to withing 10 lbs of where I started in 2004. This is not not not acceptable.

So this week I lost 6.8 lbs. Now I know this is just the first week rush of a lot of weight. (been at this too long to figure I can keep doing that kind of number-LOL) I hope that next week I can lose maybe 1/2 of that again. Just need to keep trying.

At this point I am going to give WW 3 months and see what happens. I think I do like the structure of it. And face it after all this time with TOPS I do know what is good for me body and what is not. yes I could eat at McDonalds and use all my points in one meal, but I know that is not how it is suppose to work.

Don't get me wrong I am not putting down TOPS it has worked for a lot of people, and in the beginning it worked for me. I just need something with a little more structure at this point.

so here we go week 2.

SW - 270
week 263.2

  • MASTERCARE know how much I praise and push weight watchers...I do. It is a balanced program. I know nothing of I cannot compare the two or even sound like I know what i am talking about!

    Let me say this.....

YOu know I am doing extremely well right now. Was it wws? Nope. It was doing Jillian's Body Revolution. I still count points, but my fitness level is off the charts right now and my eating is under control. I changed. What I was doing changed. I needed something different and went out and found it...thus..I am truly ready.

A change of scenery is just what you may need. You are obviously ready or you would not have joined wws. Again..not saying a word against TOPS...just needed to shake it up...something new....

    Proud of you.

LUv what Alice said. She is right. It doesn't matter what program you belong too, U R the one that has to make it work. I liked WW, but I didn't like spending the $$$$.
I think I belonged to TOPS off n on (mostly on) for 1/2 my life. I made some great friends and had super fun times at meetings and conventions, but..................

Then, I found SP by accident in 2006. The first year I think I dropped 35 pounds.
Since then it has been a yo-yo thingy, but they say not to give up. I do eat healthier, I exercise more. I am in my 70's and not taking any perscription drugs for those obesity related diseses yet, so I must be doing something right. I have had the oppurtunity to meet some of my Spark Friends in person too (fun fun)
SPARKPEOPLE is FREE and it is here 24 hrs a day for me, so I feel if I can't get the job done here, WW and TOPS aren't going to help me either. JO

Just remember, Vicki, it is not the PROGRAM that WORKS, it is YOU that has to WORK the PROGRAM. Study the points system, the good health guidelines and make sure you are getting them all in. The main key is to TRACK TRACK TRACK. Measure your foods and make sure your portions are correct and that you are getting all your points every day. Try your best to forget about those 49 weekly points that are hanging over your head. They can certainly get you into trouble. You can do this as long as you do it right. How do I know????? Because I am not doing it right and I am not having the results that I know I would have if I did it right. Let me prove to you that working the program gets the results we want. This week, I will work the program with you and we will see how we both do this next weigh in. My ww meeting is on Thursday. Let's prove the program is not the problem but how we work it.
