Weight Not Moving and Have to Clean up My Files

Wednesday, May 30, 2012

About the third week in a row and still the same. Have to do something more intense or longer. I just walked today; first with the dog and then with my daughter to the grocery store.
Once more i forgot some groceries on the list on tuesday. Had to go all thye way around to get there cause they are working on the main street now, resurfacing it before they take down the bridge and redo that. I have to clean up my files on Microsoft Word and Office. I have way too many of the same files. It already screwed me over last time cause i sent in the wrong file. This time I forgot to put it in doc or docx so she could open it and got 10 percent taken off for being late. This time around no mistakes; have to turn it in to their plagairism checker before I give it to the instructor. Feel like such a dolt!

You might ask your daughter to help you set the default file format as doc or docx for when you save - if you don't normally have to save things for other people.

If not, the checklist idea MISSY455 mentions could help. I know at work we have lists like that for tasks that aren't done often enough to remember all the steps every time, and that even allows a temporary employee to come in and do what needs to be done.

Have you tried making yourself a checklist? I used to use them at work all the time because I had to send documents to the lawyers, executives, my boss etc. I just made myself a template that I kept next to my computer, listed all the things I needed to check before I submitted, and then just ran down it before sending. It helped me several times. I also renamed my files 1x, 2x, 3x etc, so I always knew which was the newest draft.

You will get the hang of it. Just experiment and see what works for you.
