This is going to be a hard one for me lol!! I don't typically like taking pictures of my food!
The SASS challenge in my mind is about keeping yourself accountable for what you put in your body.
I've had a great experience reading "When Food is Love" by Geneen Roth. I actually finished it tonight while working on the stationary bike.
I made a good shift tonight. Food is fuel. Food is not my father telling me he's proud of me, food is not my husband when he is away. I cannot keep replacing my feelings with food.
So here is another step for me. If food is fuel, then it's time to really start paying attention to it.
I have always had my food journal open to anyone who wants to look at it. I have a good friend who tends to go through it everyday and talks to me about it if something is off the rails.
I'll try to be good about finding pictures for my food or even taking some. Tonight's dinner was quick after an afternoon of respite, I needed something fast and healthy and this was my choice!
I had a veggie burger on a whole wheat bun with mustard, ketchup and relish (and just realized I didn't count the condiments on my tracker, I will go fix that!) and my sides were watermelon and grapes!! It was delicious.
I did however eat too fast and my stomach hurt :( but some time on the elliptical and stationary bike helped that. After workout I had a homemade granola bar and it was delicious and healthy and totally satisfied that sweet craving, which is what I hoped it would do.
So there is blog one, I'm sorry there is only one picture! I'll try to get more in depth with it as I go along here :)
ETA - I know the picture says 110 calories and if you are checking my food tracker, it's 150 calories on my tracker. I use the patties purchased from Costco. If you didn't realize, the Costco patties are bigger than the boxed ones! So the calorie count is higher. See??? I'm being honest!
