Denver Color Run

This is a fun 5K run. No timers, just lots of fun and the proceeds went to Denver Children's Hospital. I ran with my husband, Randy, daughters, Heather & Rebecca, granddaughter, Angela, 5 other friends and 10,000 other runners.

The run is loosely based on a Hindu custom, Holi, where they throw colored power and fragrant water on each other to celebrate spring. During the run, at each kilometer mark, the volunteers throw colored corn starch on the runners. The runners wear white shirts:

I would recommend this fun run to anyone looking to have a fun no pressure run. Here's a link to find one close to you:

    I so wanted to do this when it was in Atlanta...however, the price was a little steep; maybe I can participate the next time around. It's gotta be a great time!!!!
