Change of goals for this year -- we're expecting!

After three years of trying to get pregnant, we finally did it! We spent way too much money on failed fertility treatments: various drugs, 3 IUIs, 2 IVFs. (Luckily my mom paid for a lot of it b/c she believed in it and could afford it). After all that, I finally listened to my husband and a friend who had been recommending acupuncture. My friend is a student at a nearby well-renowned Traditional Chinese Medicine college and recommended the school's clinic. I started going there, making sure I got the fertility specialist as the overseeing doctor each time. Two and a half months of acupuncture and herbs later, and we got pregnant!
We weren't even really trying because we thought it would take longer to work and plus we were busy taking care of our ailing cat. A week after our beloved Jezebel passed away, I realized my period was late. I thought it was stress/grief, but took a pregnancy test just to be sure. It was positive! I took two more tests of different brands just to make sure & they were both positive, too! Hubby and I are very excited!
I'm 11-1/2 weeks along now, almost out of the first trimester. Due around 12/12/12! Everything seems to be going well. I've had a few ultrasounds and saw the baby move and its heartbeat! I been very lucky and haven't had any morning sickness so far. I'm thinking it's because the acupuncturist has been doing points for the stomach to prevent nausea and she gave me special herbs to strengthen the pregnancy. Now that I'm pregnant, I've been going to see the fertility acupuncturist every two weeks at her private office (no more interns working on me!). So far, so good!
I've been trying to keep eating healthy and have been good for the most part. I've been very tired, so have been slacking on the exercise. I've been a little better this week now that my OB/GYN upped my levoxyl dosage. I'm performing a solo bellydance at a big event next weekend and haven't been practicing nearly enough because I've been so tired. I'm going to step that up starting this weekend. Even though I signed up for this before I knew I was pregnant, I still want to do it.
Looking through my goals in my last post, I've been doing pretty well in keeping some of them (esp. Goal 3: dancing). But, I'll probably let goals 4 & 5 slide. I just don't have enough time or energy now to keep up with those. I'll substitute having a healthy and successful pregnancy (and birth!) instead. A very worthy goal, IMHO :)
