Saturday, May 26, 2012

So i always wake up still half asleep and not wanting to get up no matter how much sleep i get, it just takes like two hours to wake up for me for some reason...well as i stumble up the first thing i do for like a good three mins is hunt around the house for my cigs and lighter...found the lighter no cigs why are there no cigs??? It finally dawns on me that i threw the rest of my cigs out last night and there are no cigs, in fact, im quitting. Duh...Well i finally sit down to wake up and there the thought pops up again...well its time for a i think to myself im quitting today! This went on for a good two hours that it took me to fully wake up! Time for a cig i would think, no im quitting lol it was terrible...i was not really craving one im just used to the first thing i do when i wake up is chain smoke so not dumb just a creature of habit i guess...must find something else to do in the morring! Also i smoked my last cig at like 5am before i went to bed but i feel like i can taste cigs in my lungs for some reason and it is really grosse yuck...taste bad i can tell you that

Just set your mind to it! I stopped smoking for 11 years and had a stressor that got me smoking again - I smoked for less than a year and my quit date was 5/1/12 and I am smoke free again. emoticon

Gum may help. What you're doing for yourself is really really important. I watched my father die from lung cancer and emphysema. He was a 2 pack a day smoker, perhaps more. I saw him GASPING for air.. and it was really truly deeply awful for me to witness and for him to go through, I'm sure. So please please try to save your lungs.. your life.. You can do it!

you can do this .... yes, go fix you a great big glass of ice water and drink it every time you think you need one .... I quit 3 years ago after 50 years of smoking ... it was not easy but I decided it was time to finally do away with them ... I'm so much richer in more ways than one .... if you have a lot of time, learn to knit or crochet ... take up reading at the library or on your kindle .... there is something out there for you .... my friend chewed gum ... you can do it ....
