My Healthy Bucket List

Saturday, May 26, 2012

After posting this as a response on a message board, I thought I'd put it here too for accountability. And so that's how I started a blog, after thinking I was probably never gonna do that....

My Healthy Bucket List

*Run my second 5K on June 24
*Complete the Minneapolis Duathlon on August 26
*Train for and complete a half-marathon in 2012
*Get to and maintain my goal weight of 140
*Eat vegan 95% or more of the time
*Find/earn $5000 to finance completion of studies for rabbinic ordination by mid-2013 without putting additional pressure on household finances
*Complete studies and become eligible for ordination in mid-2013
*Complete requirements to become a board-certified chaplain
*Find niches within my faith community, my geographic community, and my political party where I can become a more consistently active volunteer
*Maintain a positive, loving influence on my family and friends
*Travel with my wife and children to Israel and to India (both kids' birth country)
*Dance with my wife at our children's weddings
*Grow old joyfully with my wife and enjoy the adults my children will grow into

Hmm... looks like I've got my work cut out for me : )

That's a great list. I think we all need one of those so we have a good idea of where we are heading.

Best wishes to you in completing all of those things and more,
    Michael
