BLASTED LATE NIGHT/AFTER WORK EATING!!!

I need some advice or maybe just a good kick in the pants. I have realized the biggest weak point for me as far as weight loss goes and that would be late night or after work eating. I can be SO incredibly dedicated, motivated, determined, and careful all day, but on days that I work as soon as I get home it all goes out the window and on days when I don't work the same thing happens in the evening. It's like no matter what I do, how well I plan, how well I distract myself, it always seems to fall to pieces at night. Sigh. This is very frustrating.

Does anyone have any advice? Or would anyone be willing to just give me a good swift kick so I can get my rear in gear!!!

    I think if it is habit then you need to change what is available late at night. Like fresh fruit or carrots or celery. That way you still have something, however not as many calories, or the guilt. emoticon emoticon emoticon

    After work you probably grab what is convenient, which can usually be unhealthy. You may want to make healthy snacks earlier in the day with a pre-planned calorie range so you can eat what is good for you at least and know how many calories you are consuming. Are you really hungry then or are you emotionally eating?

    What it boiled down to with me is- how bad do I want it?

    Also, I usually eat over half of my day's worth of calories after 4pm. I plan 2 small dinners- one pre-workout and one post-workout (which occur after work), and then on top of that I have a healthy evening snack. I do go to bed later though. This works for me, also in conjunction with the first line mentioned in my response. I used to be a bad evening eater.

    Are you still hungry at that time? Or is it just habit and other things making you munchie? If you are hungry try going a little higher in the calorie range and eating more protein. Or try planning a healthy snack for late in the day and eat that instead of other stuff. I am sure others will have great suggestions also.
