Getting back on track

Thursday, May 24, 2012

I got released back to work on Monday and was able to go back to work Tuesday. I'm so thankful that he allowed me to do my own rehab during my last 2 weeks off. I was swimming and walking in the pool and walking as much as my leg could tolerate. And it worked! I asked him how long it would be until I could start running again and he said as soon as I feel like I can, but just start out slow again. But there's no reason I can't be running normally by next week. This is such great news to me since my official training for Team in Training starts this Saturday.
Just totally relieved I can get back to normal. Oh and the good thing, 4 weeks off work with no work outs I only gained 1.4 lbs. I was so worried it was going to be more.

Now I have a nice 4 day weekend!

Take very good care, though - listen to your body and note a difference between aches and true pain.
