On to the next thing..

I have a couple of things I am itching to say..

first, there is not a question or doubt in my mind, that my body now carries more excess water weight than it ever did when I was a younger woman. I have been dealing with this inexplicable weight not moving, in fact moving upward situation for a while. After doing most of the 28 day bootcamp and being UP 7 lbs, finally, I lost 7 lbs in one day, then one the next day, then the next thing I knew I was back up 4 lbs. It is, or was, driving me CRAZY. But I have the solution, and though I'm not sure it makes sense, it does seem to be real: vitamin water zero XXX. The day after I drink this, my bloat seems to go away. I was drinking it when the weight dropped, didn't drink it one day, then the next the 4 lbs found their way back on. Drank it yesterday, and this morning, the weight was gone again. I'm just going to drink one bottle a day. Nuff said.

Second, I am on track with the exercise, even after finishing the bootcamp. Yesterday, I rode 30 very hard minutes on the exercise bike, and this morning, I did the SP 20 minute dumbell workout, plus stretches, then got on the bike for 10 incredibly hard minutes on the bike; I was hoping to do 20, but when my son reminded me I had to drive him to school, I had to cut it to 10. That's okay, I feel like a million dollars right now.

Third, I am in a good place right now. Trying not to obsess about any of it, and I think I'm in a good place with respect to that, too. One little baby step at a time.

Fourth, I could not be in any of these places without SP, but more without my Spark Buddies. Thanks for sticking with me, folks, I hope to make you proud!

without listing all the ingredients (I couldn't because the print is so small anyway!!), here's the highlights.. First, it's the zero, so it doesn't have any calories at all, it is sweetened with stevia, it is flavored with acai, blueberry and pomegranate, it has 100% rda of of vitamins c, b5, b6 and b12, 25% of manganese and vitamin a, and electrolytes. It has no sodium, 4 g. of carbs.

I just think the stuff is flushing my system better than the other 6 glasses of water I'm drinking a day..

Thanks for all the helpful and encouraging comments! And the compliments!! You guys are the best..

I agree with Ramona, you already are a proved asset to humanity and bring light to any room.

As for the vitamin water, that is interesting. energy value (cal) 120, no sodium, but high in sugar. Sodium is a problem for sure as it is in many drinks that have no sugar. Calling it water seems to me a bit misleading, because water has no calories or sugar, so I am confused.

But if it is working, also giving the energy you need, and proving to be an ally with your weight loss who am I to be a skeptic.

Everybody has to find what works for them. Like all of us, finding SparkPeople really works.

Listen Beautiful, you don't have to do/accomplish ANYTHING for me to be proud to have you as a friend... you 'walk into the room' and my day improves!

I SO hear you on the water... it's part of my problem, too... and the root of the problem for me does seem to be mineral/vitamin deficiences (which your vitamin XXX water addresses) and hormonal insufficiencies. It's scary how dramatic it is, isn't it?! I'm addressing mine with supplementing potassium, magnesium and every manner of trace minerals via SierraSil (google it... it's changed my life). We're still working on getting the hormone issues in line. I'm finally at the point where for the last month, and for the first time in over four years, I can remove my wedding ring any time of day or night without a struggle, and my face actually has some definition (my Polish roundness is now just polish roundness, LOL).

I also think that anyone who has struggled with hormonal issues and infertility as a younger woman will have significantly more issues in this regard (water retention) as we age. Something in our bodies is actually 'broken' making the issue of weight a very different animal than it is for the average person. When we make any progress it is a true victory (and over age 50, it's bordering on heroic, LOL)!

YOU GO! I'm right here beside you battling it out, too! Whatever the result, we're better for it... and obsessing just steals our joy... none of that for either of us!

    Nice post! Lots of positivity.

About your first thing though...have you taken a look at your sodium intake? That will do exactly what you are describing to me. I can gain or lose 3-5lbs in a day if I have too much sodium. Then lose it in a day or two by drinking a gallon of water a day.
