Marathon Countdown: Day 2

Did not sleep well last night. What's with that? Could it be from NOT walking?! Pretty sure I will sleep well Saturday night!!! Not too concerned about this. Would like to know that I am rested before Sat. though - want to give it all I got and if I am rested, I have more to give, if ya know what I mean!

Washed all the salty sweat out of my gear yesterday. Boiled my eggs. Today I hope to make a loaf of whole wheat bread - MY bread is firmer than store bought so will hold up better in a jammed packed back pack. Had a great chat last evening with a couple of the ladies who will be in the Marathon. They are as excited as I am and one says she is not sleeping well either. They wonder if they will make it to the end and are hoping for at least 20K. One has not trained - the other has. The one who has pre trained talked with my husband about how far her longest walk was. He concluded that is 9K. She was a little disappointed and said, well, I want to at least do more than my husband did two years ago because HE did not pre-train at all!!! I assured her that she will - no doubt in my mind!!!

Going to go out this morning to see if I can get one more person to donate and take a few more photos for my project, if possible. Also need to stop at a grocery for a few items. We took a ferry across the river and back yesterday plus a walk around the city. I was amazed to not get winded at all even on a few steep climbs. Well, I guess I have earned that!!! Yippee!!!
