We are fast approaching Memorial Day Week-end.
What plans or lack of plans do you have? We generally don't do much. Because on Mothers' Day the family is generally here.
We will be going to the cemeteries to place flowers on the graves.
Then, we go to Church on Sunday,Sunday School; then Brunch. I'll probably read in the afternoon. Maybe work on my scrapebooking. Then, on Monday will do laundry.
So, what is your plans?
Are you having family and/or friends in. What are you eating?
Have a good one!

Tomorrow morning, my boyfriend and best girlfriend will be running in a 5k that benefits an organization that provides counseling and support services to economically challenged children and their families.
Saturday night, my boyfriend's aunt and uncle are celebrating a 50th wedding anniversary, and we are meeting together at a local country dance place. Sunday- his parent's are celebrating their 45th wedding anniversary, and we are having a meal with them sometime- then music and wine in a local vineyard in the afternoon.
Monday we will attend 2 local cemetery memorial services that my dad will be participating in as a VFW member.
It sounds busy, but I am really looking forward to the family time and enjoying the music- and taking time to remember the men and women who have given so much of themselves to allow me to have the freedoms I have to enjoy my life so much.
Have a great weekend, everyone, and thank you, Janet, for this blog!

Hubby and I will celebrate together but haven't made plans yet. We are living far from our family so it will probably be a quiet day.

Will stay at home as we do not like anticipating all the extra traffic on the road. Probably B-B-Q something Monday. We'll be enjoying this weather before it gets any hotter!

    Everyone have a great weekend!!

We'll attend local services Monday morning to honor our fallen veterans. It's held outdoors and looks like the weather will be perfect for it this year. DH used to always march in the parade with his American Legion post but has given that up in recent years but we still attend and support the others.

Other than that, we hope to visit a friend at the nursing home sometime over the weekend and then spend some time just relaxing and enjoying our yard.

    Have a great weekend, Janet.

We don't celebrate Memorial Day here in Honduras... but we do have a long weekend due to the Carnival this Saturday... so we don't have classes on Friday or on Monday.... I do have to travel to San Pedro this weekend - one of my godchild's son is graduating from 8th grade, and we will be going!

    Have fun everyone!ยช

We don't generally do anything on Memorial Day because, like you, we have a family get-together on Mother's Day.
But this year will be a bit different because our daughter is graduating from high school on Saturday so we'll all get together again :)
    Have a great weekend!

We really don't do anything for Memorial Day. This year we invited my parents and some other family to go to the park with us and go fishing and just enjoy the day. My sister and her husband leave Sunday for Jamaica for their 1 year anniversary so they won't be there. I'm hoping not to eat to unhealthy. Hopefully a lot of fruits and veggies to stay cool. I'm sure we'll BBQ so maybe I should pack some turkey burgers. It'll just be a relaxing weekend! Hope you have fun!
