Oops. Unintentionally fell of the face of Spark! Unfortunately, the giant work project kicked my ass. I wound up exhausted, stressed, you name it. On top of that, the hubs started a new job. Which is awesome in many ways! He loves the company, is back in his field, and since we burned through our contingency fund we can build that back up. On the not awesome side, we are adjusting to major change in schedules. This has meant that our eating and workouts have suffered. Lame, I know.

On the bright side, I haven't backslid that much weight wise. A kink in my goal, certainly, but I know I can get back on track. I have done it before. I just have to put my health first!

To help me get focused, I've signed up for some races. The Warrior Dash in July (a 5K obstacle course!) and the Tower of Terror 10 mile in September. The hubs and I also did the TC one mile Thursday night to try and get entries into the TC 10 mile in October. We'll find out this week. *fingers crossed*

Then, G and I talked about the Disney marathon weekend. I still want to do a marathon, and since Disney races are so enjoyable I think it would be a good one for my first. He thinks he would like to do the half. Which, got me thinking...I should do the Goofy challenge! So, I put it on the calendar, and wrote out the training plan from then to now to see if it's feasible. While I have a little slack to pick up from falling behind on my runs...totally feasible! So, when we have the dollars I think we'll sign up! EEK! Like the Princess a few years ago, I think this will be an excellent motivator. I mean, if I sign up, I am committed to following through!

So, I will keep you all posted between then and now, and will not fall off the face of the earth again. It will be challenging, as I will be working out-of-town for the month of June and will have to negotiate training in a different place. However, I know I can do it!!!!!

Sorry you had the rough period, but glad you are back. I hope you find the inspiration you need to complete those races. I'm always envious of those who can and do run. Especially those who can do those longer distances.

    Good luck & have fun!
